# What happens if my internet gets disconnected?

If your internet disconnects temporarily, your node will attempt to **automatically reconnect** once the connection is restored. However, during the downtime, your node won’t be able to serve or retrieve data. If the disconnection lasts too long, it may impact uptime-based rewards. Ensure a stable internet connection for optimal performance.
